About Me

I’m Wendy. I hold a master’s in psychotherapy and am registered with the HCPC, the professional body that ensures therapists meet national standards of care and ethics.

I am informed by a variety of approaches:

Alongside psychodynamic, humanistic, and behavioural ideas, I also draw on my background in creative arts therapy. This means that when talking feels limited or stuck, I can gently weave in expressive and creative elements to help you connect with your experience in a grounded, accessible way. These are just options, offered only if they genuinely support you.

My aim is to make therapy feel human, warm and personal – a space where you can explore what’s going on at your own pace, without pressure or judgement.

Mosaic Tree Therapy was created as a space for people – not labels – to come exactly as they are.
A place to explore, rebuild, and grow through life’s changes.

Safe. Compassionate. Creative. Non-judgmental.

Who I work with:

  • Adults and children who have experienced trauma

  • People navigating grief, loss, or change

  • Those struggling with anxiety or low mood

  • Neurodivergent clients who want to feel understood and accepted

You are so much more than any diagnosis. Together, we will find your strengths and your way forward.

Why Work With Me?

Compassion is at the heart of my work. I get it. I’ve been there. And I know how powerful creativity can be in helping people feel safe and seen.

I’ve worked in schools, the NHS, SEMH schools and the Priory inpatient and outpatient hospital. I currently work with both adults and children.

I am HCPC-regulated and a full member of BADth. This means I meet the highest standards of safety, ethics, and accountability.

How I Work

No two people are the same. No two therapy sessions should be the same.

Some clients like talking therapy. Others feel safer using creativity. Often, it’s a mix of both.

Here are some of the tools we might use:

My approach is fully person-centred, which means we follow your interests, your pace, and what feels right for you:

  • Art, story, music, and myth

  • Play therapy, puppetry, and improvisation
    Gaming and creative media

  • Talking therapy and coaching (accredited coach and personal & professional development consultant).

  • Boxing-based therapeutic movement (I’m Fighting Chance certified). Where helpful, sport and movement can be used as part of the therapeutic process.

I bring creativity and compassion.
You bring your story.
Together, we find what works for you.

I have additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Transactional Analysis (TA), and approaches informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

I have also completed Family Systemic Practice Level 1 and hold a Level 5 Coaching qualification with the Chartered Management Institute.

This is my dog, Lindy. She’s not exactly calm, but she reminds me to be present. If you like dogs, she can come to sessions on request.

Why Mosaic Tree?

A mosaic is made from many pieces. At first, those pieces can feel separate or fractured, yet together they form something whole and meaningful.

A tree reminds us that growth continues through every season. Storms may bend branches or scatter leaves, but the roots remain, and new life emerges again.

To me, this reflects the process of therapy. Our experiences, feelings and different parts of ourselves may not always make sense at first. But nothing within us is wasted or wrong. Every part of us has value, and when we begin to understand and reconnect with those parts, a stronger and more integrated sense of self can grow.
